Here’s the deal. Anyone who has been in the wedding industry for a while can tell you that certain weddings stick out, and stick with you forever. Even more so are some of the moments that you get to experience.

Well let me tell you about Cam and Haleigh’s wedding at Arran Farm Events.

The Wedding Day:

So first things first, it was COLD, and I mean really cold. With that, it was very windy, making it feel even colder! But, this would not stop Cam and Haleigh’s day from being perfection. Every single detail of this wedding was thought out, and perfectly matched the vibe of the day and of Cam and Haleigh.

When I arrived at Arran Farms I began with Haleigh and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite. The room was filled with the most infectious energy. The music was playing, everyone was laughing, it was so amazing! Haleigh always has the calm grace to her. I don’t know if she was nervous, or how nervous she may have been, but you would have never known it from looking at her.

As the girls were getting the finishing touches done, I began working with Cam and the guys. Again, this was some of the most fun you could imagine. If you’ve had the pleasure to meet Cam you know how much fun he is to be around. He has this big smile that puts everyone around him at ease, and makes you feel like you have known him forever. You pair that with his collection of groomsmen and boy was it a blast!!

We captured as many images of the guys and girls as we could, and then we shot the first look with Haleigh and her Dad. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Haleigh’s dad turned and saw her for the first time. Overcome with emotion he said “Aw look, Haleigh’s playing dress up as a bride”. I thought that was the sweetest thing :)

The Ceremony:

Once the first look with Haleigh’s dad was finished up, we got her tucked away and ready for the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony, as they always are at Arran Farm. Thankfully Haleigh and her mom had the great idea to give blankets out as a wedding favor, so each guest was able to grab one as needed. The music was beautiful, with one of Cam and Haleighs friends singing, and Haleigh’s Grandmother double as both Matron of Honor and Officiant (how cool is that!).

Now I will tell you this. You never really know who a groom will react when seeing his bride for the first time. Some show little emotion due to the nerves of being in front of some many people, and some show tons. Well, Cam was the later. When he saw Haleigh coming down that aisle, it was OVER! There was not a dry eye left in the room, and I can tell you this much, it is not easy to shoot through misty eyes lol. Cam is so deeply in love with Haleigh that the emotions could not help but burst out of him. What a moment! The entire ceremony went off without a hitch, with Cam and Haleigh reading their vows to one another, braiding the 3 cords of the rope together, and having a wonderful first kiss.

From there we went into some of the formal portraits, and some portraits of Cam and Haleigh alone together.

The Reception:

The reception was so much fun with great energy through out. The DJ kept the tunes rocking, the food was delicious, and the drinks were ice cold!! Haleigh and Cam had a beautiful first dance, then Haleigh and her dad danced together, which broke into their rendition of Fancy Like. It was hilarious! Cam and his mom shared a beautiful dance and from there the dance floor opened and stayed packed all night!

Then came sunset. I always make sure my couples build in time around sunset for us to sneak away and get a few more portraits for just the two of them. Well this sunset on this evening was unlike any I have ever seen. When I stepped outside and saw it I immediately ran back inside to grab Cam and Haleigh. Yes, I interrupted part of their dinner, but boy was it worth it!

Back inside the dancing, joy, and laughter continued all night, and even had Haleigh and some of her fellow baton twirlers from Clemson put on a show to Tiger Rag. At the end of the evening Cam and Haleigh were whisked away though an incredible sparkler send off.

To Cam and Haleigh. I can never begin to thank you enough for trusting me to capture your wedding day. The moments I was blessed to experience through out your wedding day will stick with me forever. Thank you!!
