As one enters the gates off of Highway 187, Evergreen Plantation greets visitors with a resounding “Welcome Y’all”. With rolling hayfields and beautiful landscaping the 19th century antebellum home is a reminder of a time long past. The traditional southern farm has been updated with modern amenities all the while keeping itself well-rooted in history.
The Faulkenberry Family purchased Evergreen Plantation in the early 90’s with hopes of restoring it for their future home and daughter’s upcoming nuptials. Since their daughter’s wedding, the Family has lovingly restored the home, Bridal Cottage, Carriage House, and The Lodge. Recently the Faulkenberry’s have decided to welcome the public to enjoy the gorgeous property.

Amenities
Evergreen Plantation has opened their arms becoming one of the newest wedding and event venues in the Upstate. Located in the Southern part of Anderson County, the original home, Carriage House, and Lodge at Evergreen sit among nearly 400 acres. No matter the dreams of a bride, she will be accommodated at this beautiful venue. If she wishes to walk down the aisle on the front lawn, speak her vows under the gazebo overlooking the beautiful water garden, or a complete outdoor ceremony in front of an antiquated chimney surrounded by mature pecan trees, the options are endless.
Once a decision has been made for the nuptials, the happy couple will travel down the drive to the Lodge at Evergreen. This 10,000+ square foot building is the ideal place to dance the evening away. As the grand doors open, the guests are welcomed by the remains of a 150 year old Walnut Tree. In it’s second life, the tree centers the entry way and leads everyone into the grand banquet room of the Lodge. The dance floor sits beneath the Scottish Chandelier and towering stone fireplace. Complete with a sound system and stage, any band could lead a most perfect waltz all the while onlookers watch from the balcony. The Lodge is completed with a chef’s dream commercial kitchen, the place to prepare a delicious meal.
If a grand celebration is not ideal, the intimate setting of the Carriage House is the perfect place for Corporate Retreats or Board Meetings. The warm sitting room with stone fireplace and grand piano will welcome guests for drinks and hors d’oeurves. Once dinner is served, the immaculate dining room will make even a pimento cheese sandwich feel like a meal made for a king. The Carriage House is finished with a two bedroom guest quarters, game room, and grand deck overlooking the property.

Facilities and Capacity
Couples envisioning large-scale celebrations can host up to 350 guests on the property. The venue contains multiple options for holding the ceremony, including the front lawn of the house.
Alternatively, couples can choose to exchange vows beneath a gazebo surrounded by the water garden. As a third option, the happy couple can opt to wed against a backdrop of pecan trees. For the reception, the venue offers a 10,000-square-foot indoor space in the lodge. Featuring large doors suitable for a grand entrance, a decorative fireplace, and chandelier lighting, the space can be decorated to fit a variety of themes. High-quality equipment and contemporary amenities encourage a night of celebration, with a stage and sound system provided for the band or DJ. Guests can watch from the balcony as the newlyweds have their first dance before taking to the dance floor themselves. Furthermore, the facility includes a commercial kitchen for use by the chosen catering team. To help make the venue more easily accessible to guests, free parking is plentiful on the estate. Additional facilities on-site include the Bridal Cottage, suitable for the wedding party to get ready in, and the Carriage House, for smaller gatherings.

At Evergreen Plantation, you and your partner can choose your own outside vendors. Evergreen Plantation also allows guests to bring along their beloved pets. In addition to hosting your ceremony and reception, the team at the estate is also happy to host your rehearsal dinner or engagement party. Included in the peak season for this wedding venue are the months between April and June, and September to November.
